Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Lumara Tarot, including the iOS app, AI-assisted readings, subscriptions, and related services.

Effective date: August 22, 2026

By using Lumara Tarot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or related services.

1. The Service

Lumara Tarot is operated by Yunlong Zhai, an individual developer ("Lumara Tarot," "we," "us," or "our"). Lumara Tarot provides tarot card drawing, AI-assisted reading text, reading history, subscription features, and related experiences. The service is provided for entertainment, reflection, and personal insight.

2. Entertainment Only

Readings are not predictions, guarantees, or professional advice. The app does not provide medical, mental health, legal, financial, employment, safety, or emergency advice. Do not rely on readings as a substitute for qualified professional judgment or urgent assistance.

If you are facing an emergency or may harm yourself or another person, contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis support service immediately.

3. AI-Generated Content

Some reading content is generated with AI systems. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, delayed, or unavailable. You are responsible for evaluating any content before acting on it.

In the launch version, the app does not provide a free-text AI prompt field. When you request a reading, Lumara's backend sends the Doubao model service operated by Volcano Engine the prewritten reading question/category, selected card identifiers and orientations, spread positions, response language, and prompt context needed to generate the result. The application-level model payload does not include Lumara account, device, purchase, reading-history identifiers, or the user's client IP address. Network infrastructure may still process metadata needed to route, secure, and operate requests.

The launch service uses the Doubao model service operated by Volcano Engine. If we materially change the AI provider or the information sent for generation, we will update the applicable disclosures and provide any notice or choice required by law before the new practice applies.

4. Accounts and Eligibility

The app currently uses a pseudonymous, device-based account model. Its random app identifier does not contain your name or email address. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and app data. You must be at least 13 years old to use Lumara Tarot.

5. Subscriptions, Billing, and Refunds

Paid features may be offered through auto-renewing subscriptions or other in-app purchases processed by Apple. Subscription availability, pricing, trial eligibility, taxes, renewal, cancellation, and refund handling are controlled by Apple and the App Store purchase flow.

Paid plans provide a credit allowance used for readings. A Daily Insight reading uses 1 credit. Love, Relationships, and Career three-card readings use 2 credits each. When available, the plans are:

Credits reset to the plan allowance at each refresh and unused credits do not carry over. A reading that fails after credits are charged is automatically refunded. The localized price, purchase type, allowance, and refresh schedule shown in the app immediately before purchase are the terms that apply to that transaction.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the service to:

7. User Content

You may submit feedback or support messages. You are responsible for what you submit. You grant us permission to process that content as needed to provide, secure, improve, and support the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The app, design, software, text, brand elements, and related content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for its intended purpose.

9. Availability and Changes

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service. Current subscription prices and benefits are disclosed in the app and the Apple purchase flow before purchase. Changes do not alter completed transactions, and we will provide notice when required by law or App Store rules.

The first public release is not offered for sale in mainland China or European Union storefronts. Simplified Chinese may remain available as an app language for users in other storefronts where the app is offered.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the service or others, abused quotas or credits or infrastructure, or used the app unlawfully. You may stop using the app at any time.

11. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Yunlong Zhai, operating as Lumara Tarot, will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reliance on readings or AI-generated content.

13. Third-Party Services

The app may rely on third-party platforms and services, including Apple, RevenueCat, Cloudflare, RevenueCat, Apple, and Volcano Engine/Doubao, and may include Sentry when crash diagnostics are enabled for a release. Their services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
